Support
Something not working, a challenge that looks wrong, a purchase that did not arrive? Email moviewhiz@shushuo.dev and we will get back to you. Telling us your username, your device and what you were doing gets to an answer faster than anything else.
Do I need an account?
No. MovieWhiz is playable as a guest — open it and start guessing. An account is needed only to create your own challenges, buy or earn credits, appear on the leaderboards, and carry your progress to another device. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a 6-digit code sent to your email; there is no password to forget.
Purchases and subscriptions
- Restoring a purchase. Open the app, go to Store → MovieWhiz Premium and tap Restore Purchases. You need to be signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.
- Managing or cancelling a subscription. Premium renews through the store you bought it from, so it is cancelled there: on iOS under Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and on Android in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the time you have already paid for runs to the end of its period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple and Google rather than by us — they took the payment. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: the order history in Google Play. Write to us as well if credits went missing and we will sort out the balance.
- Credits that did not arrive. Reopen the app first — a purchase is reconciled with the store the next time the app checks, so a balance can lag a few seconds behind the receipt. If it is still wrong after that, email us with the order number.
Reporting a challenge
Challenges can be created by other players, and an image or an answer sometimes needs a second look. Open the challenge, use the report action, and pick a reason — the wrong movie, an inappropriate image, or anything else. Reports go to a moderation queue, and a challenge that breaks the rules is removed. If something needs attention faster than a queue, email us.
Deleting your account
You can delete your MovieWhiz account yourself, from inside the app: open Settings, tap Delete Account, and confirm by typing your username. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone — there is no reactivation.
What is deleted. Your sign-in is removed, so the account can no longer be used to log in. Your username, email address, full name and avatar are erased, and any Premium or creator status is cleared. If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to revoke the app’s access, so MovieWhiz stops appearing under Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple on your device.
What is kept. Challenges you created stay playable for everyone else, and gameplay records — scores, sessions, leaderboard history — are kept without your name attached to them. They are no longer linked to you or to any contact detail. We keep them so that other players’ games and the leaderboards do not break when someone leaves.
If you cannot open the app — you deleted it, lost the device, or cannot sign in — email moviewhiz@shushuo.dev from the address on the account, with the subject Account deletion request. We will verify it is yours and delete it for you, with the same result described above.
What we retain and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy.
